I am currently in my 6th week and have noticed that my body temperature is frequently getting high, especially near my stomach and back. Is this a normal occurrence during pregnancy?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

During pregnancy, it is common for women to experience changes in their body temperature. Hormonal fluctuations can lead to an increase in basal body temperature, which may cause you to feel hot or experience heat around your stomach and back. This is considered normal as long as your temperature remains within a safe range (below 100.4°F or 38°C). However, if you are concerned about the severity or duration of these symptoms, it is always best to consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice and reassurance. They can evaluate your specific situation and provide appropriate guidance based on your medical history and any other accompanying symptoms you may be experiencing. Remember, every pregnancy is unique, so it's important to communicate any concerns with your healthcare provider for proper evaluation and peace of mind.

My fever sometimes went up, sometimes down, early in pregnancy. These things can happen as your body adjusts to the hormones. My friend was cold one day and sweaty the next, right around week six. I think it's a very common occurrence.
