Is Pepto-Bismol Safe to Take for Nausea During Pregnancy?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Nausea is a common symptom during pregnancy, and finding relief is important. However, it's essential to be cautious about the medications you take while pregnant. Pepto-Bismol contains bismuth subsalicylate, which is not recommended during pregnancy due to its potential risks. Instead, there are safer alternatives available. Consult with your healthcare provider who can recommend suitable options such as ginger supplements, vitamin B6, or anti-nausea medications specifically formulated for pregnant women. They will consider your individual circumstances and provide you with the most appropriate solution to alleviate your nausea safely.

I know throughout my pregnancy I had alot of mothers including my own mother recommended tums as they are safe but I do know that maternity doctors if you have bad nausea then they will give you a prescription for a certain type of medication that'll help with nausea. Word of advice I couldn't keep down food for 5 1/2 months so I recommend asking for a prescription or try tums. And if you're ever unsure of medication use for over the counter go to a pharmacy or ask your maternity doctor or a doctor in general because most medications now adays you can't really take unless cleared by a doctor first to make sure it's safe.
