As a first-time mom, I am experiencing extreme fear and anxiety about the pain associated with giving birth. How can I overcome this fear and prepare myself mentally and physically for the process?

Hi there, I'm 35 weeks pregnant and a first time mum too and know how you are feeling. A midwife said something to me that helped me so much with the anxiety of giving birth. She said that I should remember that my body knew exactly how to get pregnant and got me so far without me doing anything, and that I should trust and have faith that it will know how and what to do when the time has come to give birth.
Hope this helps you too.
And it's very helpful as well to talk to ppl how know about this, so if you have a chance to join a class i would highly recommend it. :)

I am a first time mom as well and I am 35 weeks. I'm pretty scared to give birth myself, but it honestly helped me a lot to take a birth in class, i'd wait till I was a little further along, but it prepares you a lot. Lol

This is my 1st pregnancy and sometimes feel scared as well. Was a surprise one at that. Have barely been married almost a year and bam...surprise were expecting.  What i do every morning is pray to  God. Thank u for blessing me with ur child and allowing me to carry him/her. Thank u for trusting me to love her and bring her into this world. Helps my fear cause I know God is in control. And the only reason why I am pregnant with this baby is because he knows I can handle it all and I trust He will by my side every step of the way and get me thru it. HE is in control and will take care of You&Me.

Im terrified as my due date is getting closer (feb 9th) so yeah. My baby was a surprise to me and a shock. I didn't plan her at all but it doesn't matter she saved me.

Hey mama!

I've had two babes... The best thing for me was talking myself through it..."this pain is temporary..it will end at some point" ..and "each of these contractions are bringing me closer to meeting my little one" thing is you CAN and will do it! Every woman who has children has done it and so can you! Please don't worry! Whatever you choose and whatever you decided for your birth plan can and will change don't be affraid work with your body and stay calm and go to your happy place!
