Why is there a difference between the ultrasound date and LMP date, causing confusion about the gestational age of the baby?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

The difference between the ultrasound date and LMP date can be due to various factors. Ultrasounds are more accurate in determining gestational age in early pregnancy, while LMP dates rely on the assumption of a regular 28-day menstrual cycle. Factors such as irregular periods, late ovulation, or implantation bleeding can affect the accuracy of LMP dates. Additionally, human error during ultrasound measurements or miscalculations can contribute to discrepancies. It's important to consult with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and clarification regarding your specific situation. They may recommend additional ultrasounds or tests to accurately determine your baby's gestational age and ensure proper prenatal care.

It may possible if your period cycle was irregular before your conception. Or may be growth of baby is slow.... In many cases difference days will be covered by the baby till third trimester... So don't worry about it. Eat heathy and think positive.
