Have you ever experienced feeling sick and off after leaking amniotic fluid? I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I'm leaking or if it's just normal discharge. Since it started, I've been feeling really off and have no appetite. Is this a common occurrence at 30 weeks of pregnancy? Thanks in advance.

It is important to consult your healthcare provider as soon as possible if you suspect an amniotic fluid leak during pregnancy. While it is not uncommon to experience increased vaginal discharge during pregnancy, an amniotic fluid leak should be evaluated by a medical professional. Feeling sick and off can be associated with an amniotic fluid leak, as it may indicate an infection or other complications. Your doctor will perform tests to determine whether you are indeed leaking amniotic fluid or experiencing something else. They will also assess your overall health and the health of your baby. It is crucial to seek medical attention promptly to ensure the well-being of both you and your baby.

When I was pregnant with my first I leaked the hind waters. That was on a Thursday I went to the hospital Saturday night and the told me to come back in the Sunday to induce me. I was 38 weeks pregnant. It didn't make me feel ill though. If you think it is amniotic fluid you need to go to your local maternity unit as you could be prone to infection. Better to be safe than sorry.
