in Baby Health During Pregnancy by
I recently had a scan and discovered that my baby's weight is measuring at 28 weeks instead of the expected 31 weeks. I'm feeling scared and worried if there could be any potential problems. Can someone provide some insight or reassurance?

It is not uncommon for babies to measure smaller or larger than expected during ultrasound scans. The estimated fetal weight can vary depending on various factors such as the accuracy of measurements, positioning of the baby, and individual growth patterns. However, it is important to consult with your healthcare provider for a more accurate assessment and guidance. They may recommend additional tests or monitoring to ensure your baby's well-being. Remember, every pregnancy is unique, and small variations in measurements are usually not cause for major concern. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for regular check-ups and updates on your baby's growth and development.
