Is dark brown spotting normal at 7 weeks and 3 days of pregnancy?

I'm currently 7 weeks and 3 days pregnant, and I've been experiencing dark brown spotting for the past 4 days when I go to the washroom. Is this a normal occurrence during early pregnancy, or should I be concerned about it?

It could be common, but not normal. I would request blood work/ultrasound from my provider asap.
