I started taking pregnancy tests about a week ago, all of which were positive. However, when I went to the hospital for sciatic pain the next day, their urine and blood tests came back negative. At home, my tests continue to show positive results. Has anyone else had this happen? What was the outcome?

It can be confusing and stressful when there is a discrepancy between hospital and home pregnancy test results. While it is rare, false negatives can occur in medical settings due to various reasons such as testing too early or issues with sensitivity levels. Home pregnancy tests are generally reliable but can also produce false positives in some cases. To get a definitive answer, it's recommended to consult with your healthcare provider who may conduct further tests such as an ultrasound or repeat blood work. They will be able to provide you with accurate information about your pregnancy status and address any concerns you may have. Remember that every individual's experience is unique, so it's important not to compare yourself too closely with others' outcomes. Stay positive and seek professional guidance for a clear understanding of your situation.

Maybe work out how dar along you are and wait until you should be ariund 8 weeks and go to a gynea for a svan. That will be the best way. When my mother was pregnant with me she had to do that and she was already 16 weeks when she found out she was pregnant. For cheek sake she took a pregnancy test at 8months pregnant and it was still negative so for some women I guess urine tests just don't work as well and the hospitals use super cheap tests strips aswell
