I am 16 weeks pregnant with my first baby and had a big stomach before. When should my tummy get hard and start showing a bump?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

During pregnancy, every woman's body is unique, and the timing of when your tummy starts showing a bump can vary. On average, most women begin to show a noticeable baby bump between 12-16 weeks. However, if you had a larger stomach before pregnancy, it may take longer for your bump to become prominent. Factors such as your body type, muscle tone, and the position of the baby can also influence when your tummy becomes hard and starts showing. It's important to remember that each pregnancy is different, so don't worry if your bump doesn't appear at the same time as others. If you have concerns about the growth or development of your baby or any other pregnancy-related issues, it's always best to consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice and guidance.

So, im 17 weeks with baby number 2.

My first pregnancy i didnt show until maybe 19/20 weeks- and even then it was a very small bump and then suddenly boom out of no where it grew lol

This time round, ive got a bump a lot earlier (but thats expected with baby no.2)

If by having a 'larger stomach before' you mean your more of a larger lady in size- i know a female who is plus size and currently 21 weeks pregnant. She has literally only just noticed her stomach popping more and more rounded. Give yourself another 4/5 weeks and you should really notice a difference in bump :)

Congrats by the way

Well said. Plus size girl here. I noticed a slight rounding at about 18 weeks, but did really show until 21 weeks, currently 23 weeks
