in Tests at Pregnancy by
I had a chemical pregnancy on May 30th, followed by a regular period from June 4th-8th. I had unprotected sex on June 15th and 16th, experiencing cramps 4 days later. On June 22nd, I noticed pink watery discharge once when wiping and also had sex that day. Now my period is overdue and all my tests are negative. Is it possible that I am still pregnant despite the negative results?

It is possible to be pregnant even if you are experiencing a delay in your period and have received negative test results. There are several factors that could contribute to this situation. Firstly, it's important to note that home pregnancy tests may not always detect pregnancy accurately, especially if taken too early or if the levels of hCG (pregnancy hormone) in your body are low. It is recommended to wait at least a week after your missed period to take another test for more accurate results.

Additionally, there could be other reasons for the delay in your period such as stress, hormonal imbalances, changes in weight or exercise routines, or certain medications. These factors can affect your menstrual cycle and cause irregularities.

If you suspect you might be pregnant despite the negative tests, it would be advisable to consult with a healthcare professional who can perform a blood test or ultrasound to confirm whether or not you are pregnant. They will also be able to provide guidance on any potential underlying causes for the delayed period.

Remember that every woman's body is unique and may respond differently during pregnancy. If you experience any unusual symptoms or concerns, it's always best to seek medical advice for proper evaluation and guidance tailored specifically to your situation.

You can be pregnant even if the test is negative, though the chance is little. these tests do not have a 100% sensitivity.

There are blood tests (b-hcg), which are more sensitive.

When I was trying to.conceive I was following an app for my dates. One month I had the same issue, I missed my period but tested negative even after 5 days. Then finally I got period on 7th day past my period date as per my app calendar. As per my calendar, it has calculated my cycle length to be of 26 days and hence has given me one period date and so once I missed that date I started taking test but always got negative. What actually happened is I got my period on 31st day since my last period. So I suggest you check if you have past your 30 or 31 days cycle, if yes then go to doctor for blood checkup otherwise wait.
