I am almost 35 weeks pregnant and experiencing severe back and hip pain that is making it difficult for me to walk, move, or find a comfortable position. Has anyone else experienced this? What can I do to alleviate the pain and discomfort?

    Yes a lot and I'm only 22 weeks. I get my husband to rub my back or try doing that angry cat position the book told me to do sometimes it works other times it doesn't.

    Yes dear...but it depends upon the intensity of your pain. I had tried slightly oil massage by my husband but it relieved me only for few hours. I had to take baby steps due to this pain that's why I consult with my gynecologist and she gave me some medicines and injection. She also advised me if the pain is not lessen by a week then she had to admit me. That's why I must suggest you don't take any risk at 35th week consult your gyne.

    Went to the doctor. Body preparing for birth with soft bones He suggested using a walking stick for added support Thought it was crazy but 3 days later there is a real difference Walking stick may work for you too

    Yes, it happened to me in both of my pregnancies. You can't do anything until it goes by itself, that is what happened in my case. But in my second pregnancy, I realized it came up less often as I did my pelvic exercises. If you are not doing them, you can try if your doctor gives you the go ahead. Wish you all the best.

    My doctor suggested using a walking stick This has made a huge difference
