During my vaginal ultrasound, they noticed no heartbeat and advised me to wait for another scan in 2 weeks. Has anyone else gone through a similar situation? What was the outcome?

It can be concerning to not detect a heartbeat during an ultrasound at 6 weeks of pregnancy. However, it's important to remember that every pregnancy is different, and there could be various reasons for not detecting a heartbeat at this stage. It is possible that the gestational age might have been miscalculated, or it could be too early to detect a heartbeat accurately.

Waiting for another scan in two weeks is a reasonable course of action as it allows for further development of the fetus. In some cases, the second scan may reveal a visible heartbeat and alleviate any concerns. However, if the second scan also fails to detect a heartbeat, it may indicate an early miscarriage or other complications.

It's essential to consult with your healthcare provider who can provide personalized guidance based on your specific situation. They will monitor your condition closely and may recommend additional tests or procedures to determine the cause of the absence of a heartbeat.

Remember that experiencing no heartbeat at 6 weeks does not automatically mean something is wrong. Many women have gone on to have healthy pregnancies even after initially not detecting a heartbeat at this stage. Stay positive and seek support from loved ones during this uncertain time.

It's very normal. There's a much bigger chance to see it at week 7-8.

They told me I was 7 weeks 3 days when I went in and everything was normal and looked good except they couldn't find the heartbeat. They were so sure of it. A week later I still have no bleeding or cramping. I have my next ultrasound in a couple days. I know at least 9 women that said the same thing. They were 6-9 weeks when told this and everything turned out fine. Just stay positive and pray .
