in Baby Health During Pregnancy by
I am currently undergoing treatment for meth addiction. I used drugs for the first four months of my pregnancy, but I have been sober for 60 days now. Is it considered normal for my baby to be slightly behind in growth by one day and have a heart rate of 147 beats per minute at 27 weeks pregnant?

Congratulations on your sobriety and seeking treatment for your addiction. It's great that you are taking steps towards a healthier lifestyle for both yourself and your baby. In terms of your concern about your baby's growth and heart rate, it's important to remember that every pregnancy is unique, and there can be variations in fetal development. While being slightly behind in growth by one day may not necessarily indicate a problem, it would still be advisable to consult with your healthcare provider who can assess the situation more accurately based on various factors such as ultrasound measurements, overall health, and any other potential risk factors. As for the heart rate of 147 beats per minute, this falls within the normal range for a fetus at 27 weeks gestation. However, again, it is always best to discuss any concerns or questions with your healthcare provider who can provide personalized guidance based on your specific circumstances. They will be able to monitor the progress of your baby's growth and ensure that everything is progressing as expected. Keep up with regular prenatal check-ups and continue following any recommendations provided by your healthcare team to ensure the well-being of both you and your baby throughout the remainder of your pregnancy.
