As a first-time mom, I am currently 39 weeks and 4 days pregnant, but my baby has not dropped yet. My doctor says she is not engaged. Should I be concerned about this?

It is common for babies to drop into the pelvis in preparation for delivery around the 36th week of pregnancy, but every pregnancy is different. If your baby has not dropped by 39 weeks and 4 days, it may indicate that labor could start later than expected. However, there is no need to panic or worry excessively as long as you are regularly monitoring your baby's movements and there are no other concerning symptoms. It is essential to maintain open communication with your healthcare provider who can provide guidance based on your specific situation. They may suggest additional tests or examinations to ensure everything is progressing normally. Remember that each pregnancy progresses at its own pace, and the timing of when the baby drops can vary widely. Trust in your body's natural process and stay positive as you await the arrival of your little one.

No definitely not. On my last pregnancy my daughter didn't engage till 2 days before delivering and she was born perfect by natural delivery. If the doctors don't seem worried its a good sign.
