Why am I being told that I am 20 weeks pregnant when I believe I should be 5 months along in my pregnancy? Can you help me understand this discrepancy?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

It is common for confusion to arise when it comes to calculating pregnancy weeks and months. The reason behind this discrepancy lies in the way pregnancy is measured. While a month typically consists of four weeks, pregnancy is measured in lunar months, which are slightly longer than calendar months. This means that by the time you reach 20 weeks, you are actually around 4 and a half months pregnant. To calculate your exact number of months, divide your current week count by four and round down if necessary. In your case, dividing 20 by four gives us five months. So rest assured, you are indeed five months pregnant! Remember that every woman's pregnancy journey is unique, so it's important not to compare yourself too closely with others or get caught up in the exact measurements. If you have any concerns about your pregnancy progress or need further clarification on timing, it's always best to consult with your healthcare provider.

Hi Dear. Its 4 times (x) 5....meaning its 4 weeks in a month x 5 months which = to 20 weeks of your pregnancy.

If u choose to count for weeks u are in ur fifth month and expect another 5months to come...so basically its 10 months when u count 4 weeks for one month each...however monthly will b 4weeks plus or minus two days which will be 9 months.
