in Pregnancy Period General by
My partner and I are trying to conceive. My last period was on January 26th, and I was due for my period on February 26th. However, I haven't gotten my period yet. I've taken multiple home pregnancy tests, but they all came back negative. How soon should I test again? Thank you in advance.

If you are a week late for your period and have received negative results on multiple home pregnancy tests, it is possible that you may not be pregnant. However, there is still a chance that the tests were taken too early to detect the pregnancy hormone (hCG) in your urine. It is recommended to wait at least one more week after your missed period before testing again to allow enough time for hCG levels to rise if you are indeed pregnant. Additionally, make sure to follow the instructions on the pregnancy test kit carefully and use the first urine of the day for optimal accuracy. If you continue to receive negative results after waiting another week or experience any unusual symptoms, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare professional for further evaluation and guidance.

I would give it a few days, maybe even a week and then test again. Sometimes it takes a little time for the hcg to build enough in your system to show on the pregnancy test. Also, sometimes your cycle might go a little haywire and your period could just be late and come a little later this month. At one point that happened to me, and I was confused because normally my period was pretty regular/predictable--but sometimes as you older your body decides to switch it up on you.
