I'm 15 weeks along and have only gained 3 pounds. I still wear the same clothes. Will my baby be small? Why am I not gaining weight despite exercising regularly and eating healthy?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

It is normal for some women to not gain much weight during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester. Factors like metabolism, body type, and genetics can influence weight gain. As long as your healthcare provider confirms that your baby's growth is on track through regular check-ups and ultrasounds, there should be no cause for concern about your baby being small. Exercising regularly and eating a healthy diet are beneficial for both you and your baby's well-being. Remember that every woman's pregnancy journey is unique, so focus on maintaining a balanced lifestyle rather than fixating on weight gain alone. If you have any concerns or questions, consult with your healthcare provider for personalized guidance.

During my first pregnancy I gained over 30 pounds. I could actually eat a whole pizza my self. My son was only 6lbs and 5 ozs. Now I am pregnant with my 2nd child and I am 30 weeks. I have only gained 3 lbs and every ultrasound shows my daughter being a little ahead of growth and weight. So don't worry just as long as you are eating healthy and taking your vitamins your baby will be fine.

I too was worried about not gaining any weight. I am 30 weeks and I have not gained a pound in fact I lost about 3lbs. My doctor said it is fine as long as the baby is growing. And she is!!!!
