After losing my first baby to intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), I am now 6 weeks pregnant and the scan showed a small gestational sac with no heartbeat. Has anyone else had this experience? I am worried.
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

I'm sorry for your previous loss. It's understandable that you're feeling concerned about the current situation. While it can be distressing to see a small gestational sac and no heartbeat at 6 weeks, it doesn't necessarily mean there is cause for alarm just yet. At this early stage of pregnancy, it can be difficult to detect a heartbeat, especially if the gestational sac is smaller than expected. However, it's important to follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and guidance. They may recommend additional tests or scans to monitor the progress of your pregnancy and ensure everything is developing as expected. Remember, every pregnancy is unique, and what may have happened in the past doesn't necessarily predict the outcome of this pregnancy. Stay positive and reach out for support from your healthcare team and loved ones during this time.

Dont worry. Repeat scan after two weeks. You may be early in pregnancy. Just relax and pray with faith.

Hi, i have bin through that before and the out come was not pretty my child died inside of me and i didn't know until my fourth month in pregnancy thats when i knew. The ultrasound said that the baby had been 9 weeks but to myself i knew i was 4 months in but that when the baby died i wasn't stressin or at work or lifting anything heavy i wanted that child to be born so much when i went to have the baby clean i cried on my way down and when i got there i forsed myself to stop but when the docter showed me what my baby looked like i just broke down and cry. So I told you all this so that you would see that you are not alone in this and the fadter you acknowledge it the better but it wont be an easy road.

Was it a transvaginal ultrasound the first time?
