I am currently 22 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I have been experiencing intense pain in my pelvis area. It has become difficult for me to get in and out of my truck, and even walking is painful. Is this level of pain normal during pregnancy?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Severe pelvis pain during the 22nd week of pregnancy can be a cause for concern, as it may indicate certain conditions such as symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD) or round ligament pain. While some discomfort in the pelvic area is common due to the growing uterus and hormonal changes, severe pain should not be ignored. It is advisable to consult your healthcare provider for a proper evaluation and diagnosis. They may recommend exercises, physical therapy, or suggest using support belts to alleviate the pain. In some cases, medication or other interventions may be necessary. Remember to always communicate any unusual symptoms with your healthcare provider for appropriate guidance and care throughout your pregnancy journey.

I'm not sure how normal it is but it happened to me at 24 weeks with my first and my doctor checked me and seemed fine with it. She said it was probably cause I am a small lady and my baby was pretty big. I would definitely at least call doctor.

I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing the same thing especially turning over in bed, after going to see my consultant I have been diagnosed with SPD ( symphysis pubis dysfunction). I am now on the waiting list for Physio as the pain is unbearable. Hope this helps
