in Baby Health During Pregnancy by (1 point)
Hi, can someone please help me? I am pregnant and started bleeding during sex. I went to the doctor who did a vaginal exam and an ultrasound, both of which came back normal. The bleeding hasn't completely stopped, but the color has changed. Now I have some pain in my lower belly and back. The doctor says the pregnancy is okay but I may have an infection, so more tests are needed. Should I be really worried about losing my baby? Please help me.

It's understandable to feel concerned when experiencing bleeding and pain during pregnancy. While it can be alarming, it doesn't always indicate a miscarriage. In your case, the fact that your cervix is closed and the ultrasound showed everything was normal is reassuring. However, it's important to follow up with your doctor for further testing to rule out any potential infections or other complications. They will be able to provide you with more specific guidance based on your individual situation. Remember to take care of yourself and reach out for support from loved ones or professionals if needed throughout this process.

Check with a scan to see if you have a low lying placenta, this can cause bleeding and sexual intercourse shouldn't be avoided to avoid bleeding. Don't use tampons of anything in the vagina. Consult your midwife for more info.
