I had a UTI at 12 weeks of pregnancy and was prescribed Amoxicillin, but mistakenly given Ciprofloxacin. Is it safe for my baby?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

Taking Ciprofloxacin during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester, may pose risks to the developing baby. It is important to consult with your healthcare provider immediately if you have taken any amount of Ciprofloxacin while pregnant. They will assess the situation and provide appropriate guidance based on your specific circumstances. In some cases, switching to a safer alternative medication may be recommended. Remember, always follow your healthcare provider's advice and never hesitate to seek clarification or express concerns about any medications you are prescribed during pregnancy.
