Are there any pregnant women who have experienced an increase in their SPGT levels, as well as itching and burning issues during the last 3 months of pregnancy? I am a concerned mommy seeking advice and support.
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

It is not uncommon for pregnant women to experience changes in their liver function tests, such as an increase in SPGT levels. However, it is important to consult with your healthcare provider to determine the cause and appropriate management. Itching and burning sensations can be attributed to various factors during pregnancy, including hormonal changes and skin stretching. Your doctor will evaluate your symptoms, perform necessary tests, and provide guidance on how to alleviate discomfort. They may recommend lifestyle modifications, such as avoiding hot showers or using fragrance-free products. In some cases, medication may be prescribed if deemed necessary and safe for both you and your baby. Remember to communicate openly with your healthcare provider about any concerns or unusual symptoms you are experiencing for proper evaluation and care throughout your pregnancy journey.
