8 Weeks Pregnant with Only Gestational Sac - Will Fetal Pole Develop in 2 Weeks?

I am currently 8 weeks and 3 days pregnant, and my recent ultrasound showed only a gestational sac without a fetal pole. The doctor advised me to come back for a rescan after 2 weeks. Has anyone else experienced this and had a positive outcome with the development of a fetal pole after the follow-up scan?

Are you sure you are 8 weeks pregnant and maybe not earlier. They could have you diagnosed you wrong on your due date. What did your doctor say to you about your appointment? Maybe you have to wait like two weeks and then go back in. Don't stress your self out. Best of wishes to you

Hi..i hv also experienced same..just go for tvs scan..for confirmation. .its called blighted ovum..tvs may confirm timely

Yes it happened to me like 7-8 years ago it is called blighted ovum. The embrayo stopped developing but the gastational sac continued to grow and you will continue to have pregnancy symptoms. Mine after like 1-2 weeks doctor told me and ask me to come for evacuation which I refused, I started bleeding on my own without any pain and all the tissue flushed out.

I was there 8weeks and same as urs but am now 14weeks baby is fine and normal so be patient
