I am 3 months pregnant and have the flu. What medications are safe for me to take?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

It is important to consult with your healthcare provider before taking any medication during pregnancy, including when you have the flu. They will be able to provide personalized advice based on your specific situation. In general, some over-the-counter medications that may be considered safe for pregnant women with the flu include acetaminophen (Tylenol) for fever and pain relief, saline nasal sprays or rinses for congestion, and cough drops or lozenges containing menthol or honey for sore throat relief. However, it is crucial to check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medication, as they can assess potential risks and benefits based on your individual health history. Additionally, they may recommend other non-medication remedies such as rest, hydration, steam inhalation, and warm saltwater gargles to alleviate symptoms.

Nothing... do not take anything. Your body will fight it off. You cannot take any meds unless prescribed by your doctor. I'm 37 weeks and had flu, just had to deal with it and my body fought it with in 2days. So do not even think about flu medication

Ask a doctor. When I was sick or every time I am sick, I always always ask a doctor. But he or she always gave the same meds just to manage the symptoms such as cetirizine for colds, Ivy leaves for cough, or lozenges (I don't know what brand)

Wow. Good for you. Me, I am mostly sick during my pregnancy. Cough that last for 3 months.  I was not fully recovered from the sickness that I have. I got another one and another one and another one and each one last for weeks or months. My 2 year old toddler that started school last Sept 2022. So, all the maladies he got. I got it too and I am sick longer than he was.
